In-Game Description

Like the Hera, the Taipan is more of a vintage offering than a practical choice. The ability to attach three primary weapons gives it a slight edge, however.

Characteristics

The Taipan is a classy, expensive and a powerful Terran built ship. It is a great alternative to the Hera. As compared to the Hera, the Taipan sacrifices 2 module slots and 14 cargo points for 1+ primary weapon slot, 14 points more armor and slightly better handling. It may seem a large difference but in the Hera one can easily put a powerful shield and armor for protection, even a thrust for better handling and a boost for greater combat effectiveness.
