In-Game Description

This ship is used by the Mido as an interplanetary shuttle. It's small, lightweight and relatively fast, but it's definitely not something a pilot should attempt to take into a fight.

Characteristics

The Betty is the first ship you will acquire in-game after Gunant Breh pulls you out of space in your damaged Phantom. The ship turned out to originally have been a pirate ship that was getting on in years, and it is assumed that when Gunant found it, he repaired and outfitted it with Midorian technology. It now appears as a very weak ship, with some of the lowest statistics in the game. The ship itself, despite seemingly low functionality, still works just fine, and can be bought anytime later in the game at Var Hastra in the Mido System, even after Gunant sells your old Phantom for 2 million Credits.

 Trivia

  • On certain platforms, such as Android, Betty is not sold elsewhere, and is lost permanently upon purchasing another ship. However, on iOS it is still common on various Midorian stations.
  • In the description, it says that the Betty is an interplanetary shuttle. This makes it the only ship (apart from freighters) that was not meant for use in battle or war.
  • It is a Starter Ship.
  • As hinted by Gunant Breh and in a certain story mission, Betty was indeed used by pirates, but they were phased out at some point. Its similarity to Wasp hints at a potential connection between the two.
  • After the update 2.0.0 (Wayfarer), Betty becomes the 6th ship in Galaxy on Fire 3 that is imported from GOF2 (goes by the name Betty II), it is the reward ship you received for beating the boss helper Dharvok in Act 3, which is quite late in the game.
  • Just like Veteran, the Betty's structural design in GOF3 remained almost completely unchanged, even the paint job is exactly identical. (Veteran was re-sprayed)
