My top25 favorite ships
1. Kinzer RS. Best looking ship in the game, hands down. Both paintjob and shape are so awesome, that I just can't get over it. One little flaw: I wish it had purple coloring instead of red and purple nozzle...
2. Gator Custom. Such an underrated ship. Yet its main flaw is lack of a turret. Apart from this it's a huge chunk of badassery. It's way more a "flying fortress"-like than Bloodstar, IMO.
3. Cronus, or, as I nicknamed it, the iShip. Very eye-catching and good-looking. And a blue glowing thingy at the back of the top just nails it.
4. N'Tirrk. Awesome ship. Even a little too awesome for a low-class ship. It would be good if Na'srrk and N'Tirrk had their stats switched, because Na'srrk looks like an early N'Tirrk prototype, not vise versa. But if I ever start a new game, I'll definitely buy this baby right after Betty.
5. Dark Angel. Bland? Unimagined? Are you kidding me? It's one of the most original ships I've ever seen in GoF. Also it's definitely better than Bloodstar, for me at least. If only it stayed black and lime...
6. VoidX, also known as "that-very-ship-that-ruled-before-Supernova". Its design is also amazing, although I wasn't very happy with the fact that in GoF2 HD its dark blue color turned into pure silver. Dark blue/bright purple was an epic mix.
7. Phantom XT. I never really got it why a lot of players loved the Phantom and asked the devs to bring it back. For me it has always been just another Terran ship, no big deal. Come on, it looks totally like Inflict. But Phantom XT is a completely different story. Its color makes it look like a real phantom, and 4 extra-fins make its rear look all spiky and epic.
8. S'Kanarr. Big bad ship belonging to big bad aliens. Should I say more? If you say you don't like this ship, you either A:are lying, or B:hate Vossk ships' design as a whole. After all those hours we've spent in VoidX's cockpit before Valkyrie addon, being all fancy, small and glowing with purple, we really needed something large and brutal, and S'Kanarr was perfect. And quite nostalgic, reminding of GoF1, with Vossk Empire being our main nemesis and stuff. Also, this ship WAS the first one to have 5 guns, 4 primaries + turret. Eat THAT, Groza Mk II.
9. Groza MK II. Nice paintjob here. Blue + yellow rules.
10. Type 43. Loved it since java-GoF2. Even though its iOS-version is nothing alike, it's still a true Nivelian-style ship.
11. Nemesis. Even though I never used this ship for actual fights (damn you S'Kanarr! xD), I think it's quite nice-looking. Well, it's a Deep Science ship, they ALL are quite nice-looking.
12. Vol Noor. This flying saucer was a killer way back in the days of GoF1 Java, with lil' green rings coming out of its nozzle. Pity that this detail wasn't remade neither in iGof1 nor in iGoF2. Still even without it Vol Noor is a very nice ship.
13. Specter, AKA Vossk Aegir. It rocks, nuff said. Though its similarity to Aegir kinda spoilt the main mystery of Supernova for me, as I couldn't get the thought, that stealth fighters are actually [omg]Nivelian, out of my head, which was found out being true with completely no shock for me. If only the stealth fighters were Scimitars or Ghosts...
14. Teneta R.E.D. A nice spaceship, though I can't understand why it has 24 Vossk emblems all over it. AFAIK Teneta has always been a Terran ship, not a Vossk one.
15. Salvéhn. Props to the only Nivelian turret ship, anyone?
16. Nuyang II. I just like it. Reasons are unknown.
17. Typhon. Another DS ship. Another piece of awesome.
18. Blue Fyre. A really hawt ship (no pun intended). Best choice for Supernova Challenge, for real. The turret-like primary weapon is a funny idea.
19. H'Soc. Can you spell nostalgia?
20. Badger. Mini-Nuyang II with nice wings design. Me gusta.
21. Cormorant. Unlike the Rhino, it's not just a floating brick. There is some style in this one's design.
22. Hatsuyuki. So small, I wonder how Maxwell even fits there, put aside 28t of cargo.
23. Bloodstar. To be honest, I don't really like this ship's design that much, not a fan of red color either. But it has some originality in it. Also its backstory made me LOL a little.
24. Mantis. Like Bloodstar, this one is quite original.
25. VOSSK BATTLE CRUISER/VOID MOTHERSHIP!!1LOLOLOL... No, seriously. These ships are a bit too awesome for me not to include them in my top. I wish we could pilot something that big and gorgeous. Maybe in GoF3... Who knows?
