Taygete is a Terran planet in the Pan System. The station is a good place to purchase equipment or weapons from. This is a good place to buy organs and sell implants. Like the occasional scrolling news ticker suggests, Taygete sells all of the tractor beams in the base game and possibly all in the entire with add-ons. This planet is useful for pirate hunters, so the pirates and the tractor beams allow you to make a nice amount of extra money. Taygete is named after the moon of Jupiter, which bears the exactly same name. Taygete looks like Earth upside down.
